Hi, I'm Stee Garman, a Columbia South Carolina photographer and East Coast traveler. Photography has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. In high school, I went through hundreds of disposable cameras. When I studied abroad in Italy, I bought my first DSLR. Once I got home, I started taking photos of families I knew - just for fun. Those casual photos quickly turned into part-time work - as families referred me and my business began its growth. A few months later, an old college friend asked me to photograph her wedding. I was hesitant, but I agreed. From that point forward, I knew that’s where I wanted to be: in the celebration right alongside my couples. I've found my true calling in being there for couples on one of the biggest days of their lives. It's an honor I never take for granted, and one that fills me with joy - every single time.

Before I made the leap to photography full time, I managed a large wedding venue in Columbia for five years. This gave me so much experience in the industry; but most importantly, set my focus on ensuring my couples have a wonderful time working with me.
As a wife and mom of three, I know just how important these moments are to you. My (not so) secret talent? Combining the organizational knowledge of how a wedding is effectively run with my deeply personal understanding of the essence of your day. It is my heart to be so much more than just your photographer - that by the end of our time together, we seem more like friends than vendor and client.

When we started a family of our own, everything changed. Every piece of life I have experienced informs the way I interact with photography. As someone who fully recognizes just how fleeting moments can be (especially with several littles), I value them
differently.
My perspective behind the lens is built on both my years of experience in the wedding industry (as a photographer and alongside a venue), and the life I have lived. On your wedding day, my speciality is balancing the professional with the relational; always staying on top of everything - so you don’t have to (think cheerful, helpful, and
impeccably organized).
I’m here to help, and I’m here for you - the whole way through. Yes, that means you can expect a text back at nearly every time of day. This is something I have always offered to my clients - as it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing!
